APRIL 30, 2007, SANTA FE, NM. B6 Sigma wins an Air Force SBIR to Develop new Welding Processes for Repair of Engine Components. The Materials and Manufacturing Directorate of Air Force Research Lab (AFRL) awarded Beyond6 Sigma a contract in the amount of $99,131 to develop new repair techniques for rotors and other engine components. B6 Sigma was selected because of its innovative processing monitoring and control techniques for gas metal arc welding (GMAW).
